Application is now open for the 2021 KACE Virtual Grassroots Internship Program!
Since its launch in 2006, over 240 high school students in New York and New Jersey have joined KACE’s annual high school internship program.
The 2021 KACE Virtual Grassroots Internship Program is a unique opportunity to experience first-hand community organization through grassroots civic participation.
Students with demonstrated interest in public policy and politics have greatly enjoyed our program, but the 2021 Virtual KACE Grassroots Internship Program is open to all high school students interested in civic empowerment of our community.
Through an application and interview process, students will be selected for the New York or New Jersey program. There is no fee required for the 22-week summer internship and those who successfully complete the program are eligible for the President’s Volunteer Service Award, citations from elected officials, and recommendation letters from KACE.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, however, we recommend that you send all required documents no later than 5PM on May 14, 2021. Please send all required documents, by email, to internship@kace.org.
The 2021 KACE Grassroots Internship Program is structured as below:
Full Program: 22 Weeks (May 28th – October 22nd)
- Pre-Session (5 Weeks): May 28th – June 25th (Weekly Meetings, 2 Hrs/Week)
- Main Session (8 Weeks): June 28th – August 20th (Daily Meetings, 21 Hrs/Week)
- Post Session (9 Weeks): August 27th – October 22nd (Weekly Meetings, 2 Hrs/Week)
