Oct 12, 2011 – The Korean American Voters’ Council (KAVC) delivered voter registrations and mail-by-vote applications to Teresa O’Connor of the Bergen County Board of Elections. KAVC collected eighty voter registrations and fifteen mail-by-vote applications.

During the summer, KAVC interns gave their best effort in registering voters in the blistering heat. They spread awareness of the importance in voting, and worked for the empowerment of our community. O’Connor expressed her gratitude at the KAVC staff and interns, and encouraged them to keep up the good effort.

For the general elections in November, the last day to register to vote is October 28th. It is recommended that Korean Americans who did not register to vote should do so immediately before the deadline. For this year’s general election in New Jersey, Senators, Congresspersons, Assemblypersons, and the County Clerk will be chosen.

For Bergen County, voter registration forms can be directly submitted to the Board of Elections at 1 Bergen County Plaza, Room 308,
