Summer Internship – Certificate of Merit presented by Assemblywoman Ellen Young

On August 21, 2008, the Korean American Voters’ Council 2008 Summer Interns were invited to Assemblywoman Ellen Young’s office to receive a special certificate of merit in recognition of their hard work and dedication for the community over the last six weeks.
The interns averaged approximately 130 hours accumulated participating in various community outreach initiatives, research projects, skill building workshops, and field trips, which included various voter registration drives, Presidential Election research, and trips to the Queens Board of Election and Washington, DC.
The summer interns this year were Diane Ahn, Jesse Hong, Sungho Jang, Jaesun Jeong, James Kim, Soomin Kim, Hyo Jeong Lee, Jae Min Lee, Yesung Lee, and Chong No.
