NYC Councilman Peter Koo’s Local Community Development Fund to KAVC

November 7, 2011, Peter Koo, NYC Councilman, donated $2,000 to Korean American Voters’ Council for local community development. Councilman Koo funded $1,8000 from his salary to nine local community service organizations. Among the nine organizations, KAVC was the only organization representing for Korean American community.

KAVC will use the Councilman Koo’s contribution for making pamphlet and educational materials for the “Comfort Women” art exhibition at the Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center at Queens Community College. Councilman Koo’s contribution would help the young generation in community learn about the hidden miserable history of the “Comfort Women” during World War II.
