On July 23rd, 2009, the KAVC interns continued their campaign. The interns separated into two groups, one group collecting signatures for the Alternate Side Parking petition, and the other two collecting signatures for the “comfort women” memorial petition. The group in charge of the Alternate Side Parking petition walked from 147th Street to 164th Street to ask for signatures along the west bound, and the groups in charge of the comfort women memorial petition went to the Korean Culture Center. The groups each came back separately around 1PM to 2PM, and had lunch. They collected a total of 44 signatures for the Comfort Women Memorial and 35 signatures for the Alternate Side Parking. Overall, the residents of New York were supportive today.
