Meet the artists for the performances at our gala event

Songhee Lee-Chung is a dancer specializing in traditional Korean dance. Upon graduating from University of Pusan, Korea, she joined the Pusan Metropolitan Dance Company and became a principal dancer. In 1997, Songhee had her first solo recital “Karma” in NYC at the Hudson Guild Theater. Since then, she has been actively performing around the world and US, at such venues as Flushing Town Hall, Greek National Dance Theater, CID UNESCO World Congress on Dance, NEA Montana Folk Festival and International Festival at Chihuahua, Mexico. She was also appointed as a member Artist teacher for K-12 public school for “Spotlight Korea” at The Korean Cultural Center New York from 2014.
Currently, Song Hee is Artistic Director and Choreographer for the Songhee Lee Dance Company which includes the children’s dance initiative, Cheongsah Chorong; she is also an instructor at Lotus Music and Dance school and performance member of KTPAA “Sound of Korea.”

The legendary team Zoltan opened the golden era of Korean comedy. Having gained explosive popularity on tvN’s “Comedy Big League” and SBS’s “Laughing Search,” Zoltan is now writing a new history through their new show called “Zoltan Show.”
Zoltan broadened the horizons of Korean comedy through their segments in “Laughing Search.” Segments like “How Strange” and “Pong Pong Pong” were beloved for their innovative ideas and the actors’ outstanding performances.

i KADA Dance, also known as the “Korean American Dance Association”, was formed in September of 2011, in New York City. As a 501-C3 Non-profit organization, we focus on creating opportunities for struggling artists whether emerging or established. As such, we have created numerous festivals, international and domestic, that allow for a cultural exchange between artists from all backgrounds. i KADA Dance strives to establish a home where Artists can truly express themselves, without any hindrance or restrictions. In doing so, we believe that the world will be compelled to understand each other through the power of Art and positivity.

Soo Ra is an unsolved mystery. Adopted when she was 1, she has filled in the holes of her story with jokes about her life before America. She can be heard on the Netflix is a Joke Sirius XM channel. She was selected for the Comics to Watch showcase in the NY Comedy Festival.
She’s made several appearances on BuzzFeed, Fusion Network, popular comedy podcasts such as Kill Tony, and prestigious festivals such as Netflix is a Joke and Moontower Just for Laughs. She has featured on the road for comedy greats such as Jeff Ross, Donnell Rawlings & Tony Woods. She’s currently on a world tour with Nate Jackson.

Kim Hye Jin is a pansori singer (a traditional Korean genre of musical storytelling) from Korea. With over 15 years of experience, she is a promising artist known for her numerous performances and awards in Korea.

Hoona Kim is a Korean Vocalist and Actress, graduated from Seoul Institute of the Arts. Internationally she’s performed in numerous jazz concerts, pop festivals, TV commercials and musical productions. Previously a mentor at Daejeon University, but now currently working at BSC NYC campus.

Michael Nam is dedicated to giving voice to the underrepresented and interweaving the strengths and passions of individuals and communities.
Michael Nam possesses over 24 years of extensive experience has spanned many industries and sizes from start-up to mid-sized organizations in planning, sales and marketing in networks in various roles, including development, advocacy, programs, and advertising.
